have written a .net app to load data from database to form and then insert a new record into slx history table.

the app connects (had to regsvr32 the slxoledb) reads the data ok, and updates the db,

but won't insert a record, have got an historyid and the sql works on sqlserver

but when run says SLXDBEngine.dll module failed - have tried to manually register it, no effect.

it running on 2008 R2 64bit.

the slx lan client and this app is on 1 server, the slx database is on another.

Have switched firewalls off on both too.

Please has anyone come across this problem or know how to resolve??

thanks

resolved the problem!

found that on v7.5 on the insert statements even though filling in all columns you need to declare them

i.e. insert into table name (fields,.....) values ('1','2'....)
