Ryan needs to update his avatar/photo

fiogf49gjkf0d For those of us who got the chance to attend Ryan's session at the Sage Summit (excellent session I might add), don't you agree Ryan should update his photo. He didn't look anything like what I was expecting. |

You know, you're not the only one to mention that. I didn't think it looked too different than I do now (except I don't have facial hair now). Maybe I'll look for another more recent one.
It was good to see you (and others from the community) there at Summit. Next year I'll hopefully be able to to a longer stay than I could this year so we can do a big meetup or something. I had such a short time there this year I hardly had time to visit with anyone.

fiogf49gjkf0d I agree that the photo needs to be updated. I heard several people asking if anyone had seen Ryan yet as early as the meet and greet function on Sunday. I' m sure that I wasn't the only person looking at everyone with a dark goatee, and wondering if it was Ryan.
By the way, I also thought it was a great session - certainly one of the best of the summit! Good job, Ryan! |

I think the current Ryan photo looks a little like Keifer Sutherland/Jack Bauer.
It makes me think that all Ryan has to do is give a server the "Jack Bauer look" and SLX will behave the way we want it to. |

The first time I met Ryan at an Insights conference I thought the same thing, that he looked like Kiefer Sutherland, even said as much to him. Although he is not as dark as Jack Bauer. Its unfortunate that the show got cancelled because of the strike, I actually liked the onging adrealin rush each week.

| During the perfect storm (Writers Strike and Keifer got arrested and sent to Jail for DD) the show was cancelled. Do not know if it is indefinite but have not hear anything to the contrary. I really hope it comes back but .... |

| I heard he'd got arrested but chose to do his "time" over Christmas to fit in with filming. Obviously, the strike then hit as well. This just makes a perfect frickin Friday - thanks !!! |

| Phew ! A quick google search shows that they only filmed a partial series so postponed it until they could do the rest rather than show it incomplete. He'll be back (but not in that movie !) |

It's not so.
Beetween the the writer's strike and Keifer's DUI, only 8 episodes were completed. Fox didn't want the show to into summer when less people watch TV so they postponed the next season to spring 2009. (They don't run it during the fall because they want to run them all in consecutive weeks but they don't want it to run into the holiday season.)
But this morning I read that this fall FOX will run a two-hour "movie" that fills in what happens in the two years between the last season and when the spring 09 season will be set. |
