Top Level Search for Forums

Is it possible to create a top level search for the forums?
i.e. Search: Mail Merge
Results:
Thread blah blah blah in COM
Thread in Controls.

That is something I've been working on. Actually a complete revamp of searching on the site. The new search is going to include everything on the site with an option to see forum posts only.
The search is really lame as it is now.  It is pretty high on the priorities list. For now, if I am really having problems searching for something on the site I'll go to google and search for (for example, if I am searching for Mail Merge) "Mail Merge site:slxdeveloper.com". Not the best, but I do hope to have a better search implemented for the site soon.
