fiogf49gjkf0d Ryan, what is the intended purpose of the Solutions Showcase? How does it differ from the articles area?
Thank you!

buy medical abortion pill online buy abortion pill online click It's an idea that I've had on the back-burner for a bit which kind of got revived with some discussions I've had with someone lately. Not quite ready yet (I'll probably remove the link for that until I'm a bit more ready for it). But it would basically be a place where members of the site could show off some cool "out of the box" things they've built for SLX. Just really to get people thinking that there's more to SLX than Architect development.
Anyway, not sure if it will really take off or not or if I'll finish the area, guess we'll see.

am i pmsing or pregnant quiz am i bloated or pregnant quiz Would that include but not limiting the following: 1) Using a control in a unique way to achieve desired results 2) Using a control to mimic existing behavior not found
I have one I used that falls under #2: Using a ListView to mimic a multi-select datagrid. I've been using the technique since 6.1 but now that it's not necessary, it's been taking me forever to get an example bundle/article together to showcase how it was done. It's not too difficult when you realize the ListView is a simple wrapper around Delphi's TListView control (which is probably a wrapper around Microsoft's AX Control).
Stuff like that would be great to have a place but not necessarily coupled with a big article explaining all of the details. Conversation is best suited for that anyway since there are a number of hoops one must jump through sometimes that an example or article just can't cover. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Not really. I do want to add a place for smaller code samples that accomplish some task, but the solutions showcase would be a place that would allow someone to sort of show off something cool they built for SLX - a complete solution. Something that went way outside the box. We're not talking simple Architect customizations here, but something that pushed the limited of what out of the box SLX can do.
The idea was really for a place where people could see (and get ideas from) cool solutions others have built. I think that would be interesting to see. Also to get people thinking that there really *is* a route you can take for complex solutions that doesn't involve Architect |
