We have been hearing alot about Sdata being used in in Saleslogix and othe Sage products. However, there are some of us that have not had the expericence to get to know SData and how to use it link Salelogix Web to Sage ERP 1000.

It would be great if there was forum on this and to know where one could as beginner get some gainful knowledge.

thanks

Derek,

There are several places to start but, to get a generl idea about SData and what can be done from a protocol level. Start at sdata.sage.com.

This gives you information about how you can query schema and business rules that can be consumed.

Hi Ryan and John.

Thanks for the information. What I am shocked to hear though by a number of developers (Saleslogix) and in during a recent Saleslogix course is that Sdata will not work at the moment to integrate Saleslogix and Sage 1000. Only that Saleslogix works with MAS 500 ERP. Here in South Africa, if Saleslogix could integrate to Sage 1000 fairly easliy it would be a big seller against Sage CRM and its integration with Accpac

Again thanks for the links and for the information. Stay well

SData certainly could work to integrate SalesLogix and Sage 1000. SData is just an API. To be clear, Sage just hasn't yet built the integration between the two applications. One could certainly build their own integration between the two using SData (at least on the SLX side, I can only assume that SData exists for Sage 1000 but I wouldn't know for sure).
