How about a search box from the main forum page that searches all forums.

Combining article and forum search into 1 through out the site - or default to the area you are in, with pull down for more options?

Also, the spyglass for searches is disabled, the only way to search is to hit enter.

That is actually one of the top items on my list for changes to the site

. I actually do have some other areas planned for the future and I'd like a way to be able to easily search accross all of it (articles, forums, comments on articles, etc...)
