Lookup Results - Adding Columns
Posted: 11 Sep 07 11:28 AM

I've been looking everywhere and am afraid that this is not possible, hopefully someone can tell me otherwise... I'm trying to add a few columns to the list view for the system "Lookup Results" group tab, particularly some of our custom columns like account #, product groups, etc. I can edit the "Latest Contacts" and a few other system groups, but the edit option for "Lookup Results" is greyed out.
Is there any way this can be modified? |

Open up the Main View and Identify the default lookup that you are using.
Then, modify the layout of that lookup to what you want.
In older versions, the layout of the Lookup Results was tied to the Latest Contacts group, not anymore. |

Unfortunately I only have the Standard version and can't edit/look at the Main Views, but by a few lucky guesses I found it.
I should have been able to figure that out, I've got the changes in that I needed.
Thanks! |

Well, I just learned something new I guess.
I do know in general that the Standard version had some limitations, but wasn't aware that Editing Main Views was one of them.
I didn't want to name a specific Lookup (although the default out would've been probably ok) due to the fact that it could be customized if you modify your Main View, but now I know better so next time I will try and at least name the item I think you are looking for.
I am glad you were able to figure it out on your own. |
