Localization Questions

fiogf49gjkf0d I'm trying to format a date field that shows the last time a call or meeting was held with a client so I can get the date to appear and I have it formated in the control as a short date..
I am trying to make it match the rest of SalesLogix now so that globally it will show as dates do else where in the world. My questions is How do I use the Application.Translator.Localize function to set the format of my control?
Do I use edLastMeet.Format = Application.Translator.Localize ?
Thanks |

fiogf49gjkf0d Look in Account Details, it has a pretty good example if memory serves me.
Here's a snip of code: Sub cmdAcctMgrClick(Sender) On Error Resume Next Application.BASICFunctions.DoInvoke "Function", "Lookup:AccountManager" 'DNL ErrorCheck Application.Translator.Localize("Error accessing Account Manager Lookup:") On Error Goto 0 End Sub
What I don't know, since I don't have a localized version, is if the LanguageTranslation table in the database actually converts the words Error, accessing, Account, Manager, Lookup into their localized counterpart. I know there was a way you could modify the language dictionary but of course I don't know the specifics of that. I would try just placing a string of text and seeing how much is translated then you may have to fool with the language dictionary if some of your words aren't translating correctly. There should be documentation on how to do it somewhere or some "language pack" download I think that was on SupportOnline that helped in this area. Memory is a little vague but I remember hearing something about that a while ago. |

cheap abortion clinics in dc cheap abortion clinics in las vegas read fiogf49gjkf0d The translation is for the entire string, so "Error accessing Account Manager Lookup:" would be translated as one string. If you're going to be employing language translation you should put an emphasis on unique strings, ie. not "Error accessing Account Manager Lookup:" and "Error accessing Account Manager Lookup!!". Those would be two entries.
