I've sifted through pretty much all of the plugins in SalesLogix and haven't found one that's named such that it might consider thinking about being the one I'm looking for, if it's editable. Also right-clicked and hit "Design" without much luck. You know the nifty bar that sits atop most any view just below the toolbar, shows you your place in the list of records you're looking at, allows you to select a new group to peruse, has the pop-up to search for other record? Anyone happen to know that plugin's name, if it's actually a plugin? I'm looking to change its color so that users can visually differentiate between installations of SalesLogix at a glance.

TIA

Also, it is called the CaptionBar, and its part of the Main View.
The only property that I did find however was the CaptionBarVisible, that allows you to show or hide it, but no way to set its color.

Now, I do remember someone using Windows API calls in the past to attach something to it, I just can't find it anymore...
That may be one way to change its color, but off course it probably would require a lot of coding, and probably isn't the way you want to go.

Maybe instead you should just change the Background color of your Details views, it will be simpler to do.

This was a user preference setting in earlier versions of SLX, now it chooses that color from the Windows color scheme.

Ryan:

I knew it was built by you, I just couldn't point to an actual article.... I forgot to look on your other sites. Thanks for bringing it up, I was just about to try and do something similar so this helps me a lot as well...
