SalesLogix Client v6.2.6

When scheduling a time for activities, you use the "Specify Time and Duration" dialog box. This makes you highlight a block of time. Users have complained about how difficult it can be to get the exact point you want to start and end with. They want to be able to simply key in the desired times and durations, but this dialog is forced when you click in the text box.

Is there a way around this "sliding" functionality?

You could upgrade to 7.0 or 7.2. It's much easier in those versions.

I definitely agree with that, but I don't have the final word on when or if we upgrade.

Any else have any other ideas?

The problem is that this dialog is not customizable in versions prior to v7, so you're stuck with what is there

You can make it a little easier by right-clicking inside the "Specify Time and Duration" dialog box and changeing the tick mark increments from 5 minutes to something larger. I use 15 minute increments. Personally, I prefer the 6.x click and drag method over the 7.x method.
