Hi,

I have some custom forms which I want to give access through SLX Admin Function security.

I wrote a query to add the info in function security.

Insert into SECFUNCTIONS (NAME, PROGRAM, DISPLAYNAME, RESOURCEID, ISPARENT, DESCRIPTION, DEFAULTENABLED, PARENTNAME, ID, MODIFYDATE, MODIFYUSER, CREATEDATE, CREATEUSER) Values
('ToolsManageUsers', 1, 'Manage Userprofile', 'MNGUSRPRF', 'F', 'Manage Profile', 'F', 'ToolsManage', 134, getdate(), 'ADMIN', getdate(), 'ADMIN')

Problem is, this item shows in menu security but, it does not seem to get disabled when i Remove access. Has anybody done this before? Could you please share your knowledge as this is kinda urgent requirement.

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

I just figured out a way to give security to customized forms through secure functions. Problem is it throws an error saying

Unknown Function Number: -1

Does anybody know how to solve this?

I am not sure what your custom forms do, but the general approach is to have users gain access through a MainView, Account/Contact/Opportunity
Tab, Menu, ToolBar, or Button.

If you want all users to have access to the forms release them to everyone, if you want a subset of users to have access them things to a team then add users to the team as needed.

Hi,

I have achieved the menu security for my custom forms. I have created functions for all my custom forms through secure functions and then I have invoked them through global system script.

Event used:

Function OnBeforeFunctionExecute_ToolsManage(MyFunctionname)(functionNumber, functionName)
Application.BasicFunctions.DoInvoke "Form", "System: (My Form name)"
OnBeforeFunctionExecute_ToolsManage(My Form name) = True
End Function

we can enable and disable (give access and remove access) this form through administrator.

Thanks,
Rekha
