Time and Date display issue.....
Posted: 28 Sep 07 2:13 PM
I am having an issue with my time and date. When i enter a new sale into SLX i have a not generator and a sales rep keeper that displayes every sales rep that has edited the order form. This is the problem when a new sale is created the correct time and dat are inserted into the database but when is display the information it is 4 hours behide, so say it's 2:00 pm the time will display 10:00 am. Can anyone help me with this problem. Have a problem with a datagrid displaying time that is 4 hours off, the time in sql is correct, I have recreated the data grid as well.

This is a GMT issue. Your program is not using the SLX OLEDB provider so it is writing the date into the table. SLX is looking at the record and using GMT to convert the datetime (that is why you have the 4 hour difference). here is a SQL statement sample you can run to fix tell the system not to do a GMT conversion on that field:
UPDATE sectabledefs SET datetimetype = 'D' WHERE fieldname = '
I think you might need to stop and start the SLXService for this update to "read" due to cacheing issues. But this should solve the problem moving forward. Your other alterntative is to use the SLXOLEDB provider for your create these records.
