Hi All,

I want to install slx.7.0 and i want to use the SqlServer-2000/05 then which one installed Express/Standard

Part I: Installing with SalesLogix Express – This section explains the steps required to
install and configure SalesLogix using the Express Installation. The Express Installation is
intended for an implementation of 5 to 25 users using the Microsoft SQL Server database
platform.

Part II: Installing with SalesLogix Standard – This section explains the steps required to
install and configure SalesLogix using the Standard Installation. The Standard installation
is intended for implementations that have more than 25 users, run SalesLogix on Oracle,
run SalesLogix over the Web, or include one or more Remote Offices.

These are the installation instr. but whenever Installing with SalesLogix Express then SalesLogix run over the Web or not ? and what about remote users

"please explain me in detailed"

Dipak - please understand that this is a user forum for people to be helped but we will not spoon feed you. You have to put in some effort and, at the end of the day, you may even have to pay for training with your supplier/BP. All of this information is in the manual which you should read and digest before posting questions like this as you simply make yourself look lazy.

If you have not already installed SQL 2005 Standard (which is not supplied) then you should install it first. If you don't have that - install SQL2005 Express from the SLX CD prior to installing SLX. You can then use either method (Standard or Express install). It's easiest to always do a standard install. MDAC will be detected and installed if it's not already running,

The problem is their companies dont invest into a certification training and they try to use these forums to gain basic knowledge, kindly have your company organize a certification training if you are based out of india, in case if you are abroad there are several saleslogix certified training options that you might find in www.sagesoftwareuniversity.com

Kannan,
You are absolutely correct. There is no substitute for some level of formal training (class, on-line courses, etc.) when it comes to learning SalesLogix basics. We all run into this kind of situation in various on-line forums everywhere .. over and over... and over.. and over....

If more people would just sit down and read the documentation, helpfiles, etc.. then the quality of the questions would significantly improve.

Of course, if companies are trying to do it cheap and not invest in training their employees.. well.. all I can say is SHAME ON THEM! Maybe we just need to identify who these companies are and completely avoid doing business with them. Nothing speaks louder than money
