Hi Rekha,
While creating report don't use SQL or Oracle OLE dB connection string. Use SalesLogix OLEDB connection string.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer, but I am seeking a resolution for the same error. In our case, it's only happening on one computer, regardless of who logs into SalesLogix (Admin or otherwise). The reports run just fine on all other computers we've tried.

I have spoken with Sage Tech Support about it, but the only answer they've given me is that it may have something to do with an older installation of Crystal Reports on that computer. They recommended uninstalling and reinstalling SalesLogix, but that did not help.

The last person I spoke to suggested that I re-register the Crystal DLLs and clear the SalesLogix cache files. He also mentioned using a free download product called Crystal Clear. I haven't tried those solutions yet, and I have not yet found Crystal Clear.

Any other thoughts on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happens to all reports, including the Sample reports that SLX Provides?
If not, then the problem is not with Crystal DLLs or alike.

Also, the report talks about failing to make an OLEDB connection.
Make sure that the report is writting using the SLX OLEDB connection and not an SQL connection. If it was, change the driver and reload it into SLX.

Raul, thanks for the reply.

We get the same error regardless of the report, including the sample reports. Just to be sure, I also created a very simple test report in which I used the SLX OLE DB connection, and just accessed the Account table. This new test report works great except on this one computer where we get the same error.

We had a couple of users that were prompted to re-login before a report would run. We found that dropping the SalesLogix connection on their machine and rebuilding it corrected the problem.

I had this happening to a user also and when I checked his connection, he had typed double quotes (") in the name of the data link connection. The double quote did not affect the SalesLogix connection but it hosed the Crystal Report connection

Thanks for the replies, but I just walked the user through recreating the data link, and got the same results on the report.
