Reference Material for Application Architect
Posted: 27 Nov 07 10:57 AM
I am new to SalesLogix, I've noticed that Sage does not have any PDF documentation for using the Application Architect, and using the F1 help functionality of the Application Architect is not very helpful. Does anyone have suggestions on where to get some materials on using the Application Architect add customizations to the Sales Client? We just installed SalesLogix 7.2
Thanks

Other than the help that comes with the AA, this site is probably your best bet for help
I don't know of any other documentation at the moment.

Not sure of other places online (except for this site) - but I would also recommend DevLogix as a good training tool. There is a link (at least their used to be) on the home page.

DevLogix is a great resource for anyone getting started with SLX, although it doesn't cover anything from 7.2 web or Application Architect.

For 7.2 web As Ryan said this is probably the best person to person reference. The best refrence is loading a deployed site up into Visual Studio and sifting through the code. Also you can use reflector to inspect any of the compiled assemblies. Finally a good ASP.net book and some AJAX material will get you the rest of the way. If you only need to use AA and none of the advanced stuff, unfortunately the best way is setting up a little dev enviroment and just play. Make sure that you can rebuild your SLX easily cause it is possible to Muck it up.
