I want to open a specific folder on the network with a button click. I would like the files in this folder to appear in a commondialog box and allow the user to select and open the file (outside of SLX).

I can get the folder to appear, and can run the file by right clicking and choosing open. Can I make this happen when the user clicks the 'open' button in the commondialog? Thanks

Once you get the selected file from the "Open" common dialog, just "execute" it and Windows will open it in the default associated app.

Ok, Two followup questions:
1. The file opens behind SLX - can I control this?

2. Trying to feed the diaglog box the directory to open up in. I am trying to use the initialdir property of the Dial og box with no luck - it always opens to the last directory it was in. EDTITED>>Ok, figured out this is because I am trying use a network share "\\myshare\mydirectory" - If I use a mapped drive all works. Is there a trick to making this work with a network share?
