Working with Addresses
Posted: 06 Dec 07 12:54 PM
This is probably a simple question, but I'm new to SLX Development.
I have an Building with an Address. In the Data Form for the building, I have fields where you can enter the address. When adding a new Building, how do I add a new Address simultaneously?
Can this be done without VBScript? If not, is there a normal technique for doing this in VBScript?
I guess I could create an Recordset and manually add the address information to it from the fields, then update the database, but that seems a bit excessive.

That's pretty much it. Unless the 2nd table is 1:1 then you will need to handle it with code.

Thanks for the help. The second table is 1:1, but I had the join defined as Left instead of Inner, and that was causing the issues.
