Which Plugin do I use to customize the Schedule Meeting Form?
Posted: 07 Dec 07 1:35 PM
I am very new to SalesLogix, and I am hoping someone will be able to help me. I am trying to launch a Contact Process when the Regarding field on the Schedule Meeting form contains a specific value. I can't seem to figure out which plug-in I need to change in Architect. Also, once I find the correct form, where would I put this code to launch the contact process? Is it as simple as just using the following function: application.BasicFunctions.StartContactProcess? We are on SalesLogix 7.2. Thanks!

Not all of the schedule meeting forms are customizable, but for those that are, the form you want to find in Architect is called Activity Details View. Also, I don't know if you want to start the contact process immediately when the regarding field is changed or when the user presses ok and a certain value is in the regarding field. If you want to fire the contact process immediately after the field is changed, you'll have to create a new OnChange event handler for the regarding field. If you want to fire the contact process when the user closes the form then you'll need to use the StartContactProcess code in the AXFormClose event. If you do the latter, you may wish to enclose the code in a "frmActivityDetails.IsWriting" conditional statement.
I hope all that made sense.
