Hey Guys,

So we could never get the sales dashboard to work with out internal SLX installation. We've done a pilot upgrade to SLX v7.2 on SQL Server 2005 and again the dashboard fails to work. It fails to parse SQL strings being passed to the database. While investigating this using the SLX & SQL Server profilers I believe that my scalar functions are failing to be transformed into their SQL Server equivalent and as such fail to parse.

From my understanding the scalar functions (i.e. SLXDateDiff) used within SLX get transformed by the provider into the correct function depending on what Database you use so for SQL Server SLXDateDiff becomes DateDiff and Becomes - ( Minus Sign ) in Oracle (im guessing here, as i dont ever use Oracle).

Using the Profiler I see that the original SLXDateDiff is passed rather than DateDiff

I've used both the available OLE DB providers when setting up my connection but to no avail
- Microsoft OLD DB Provider SQL Server
- SQL Native Client

Im seriously stumped here, i've never come across an issue like this before does anyone have any idea how i get the provider to correctly identify what database its connected to?

This could be a SQL Server issue as well but again im stumped on how i'd resolve it on the SQL server side

Any advice or nudge in the right direction would be really appreciated

*** Update ***

From talking with SLX support they reckon ( more like a guess to be honest ) that some part of the v7 upgrade failed to release correctly. as such they have recommended that I go through the entire v7 release and unrelease and release each of the v7 plugins.

I'll post an update afterwards.

It just occurred to me and it is probably useless and too late as well, but -
Did you try to just reinstall the provider first?
