Hi,
Do you know where SLX (6.2) stores the information, which user has selected which tab as active in his main view? I want to remove some tabs from main tab view but i dont want to do this at each users computer.

I know that tabs can be removed in admin > client plugins > ... but i dont want to remove the whole plugin, i just want SLX not to load it in main view. it will be loaded later, when clicking a certain link in another tab (a "favorites-tab" you can say). The reason for doing this is as loading SLX and switching accounts et et takes more than 30 sec. sometimes, and i can imagine it is because SLX loads all tabs at once when switching, so i want to reduce them.

Hmm, i have found the tables "useroptiondef" and "useroptions" where in category (="Tabs") a list of tabs can be found as a blob. But changing this content doenst seem to affect the tabs for a user?!

i found that some strange personal script was overwriting the values...

Marty,

Change each user's default group to a group which does not have many records, say a small ad-hoc group. This has always helped SLX load up time historically.
