Pro Rata of costs
Posted: 09 Jan 08 10:17 AM
In SLX 6.2 we currently have a custom screen with comes up when you right click in an opp and select add standard price item. This brings up a custom form with a list of our products with fields to enter a price if we tick pro rata all the prices for that product range are pro rata'd by size into a cost. This is then inserted into the opportunity. Only problem is its hard coded and needs updating for new products, is there away to have this update on the fly (dynamic form in respect to text boxes and captions etc populated from sql)

Based on the information you provided, the answer is yes. Almost anything is possible in SLX - and what you are describing sounds like a modification to the standard Opportunity Products functionality to me.
This is not the friendliest area of SLX to customise, but I have done it many times & it's not that bad.
'...text boxes and captions populated from SQL' is not the way to go. Use one (or more) datagrids to cope with the fact that there is one opp, many products and many prices ...
If you have specific questions about how to implement any of this functionality, please go ahead and post again.
