Hi folks, I'm looking to create a new custom main view that can be opened by default at the start of SalesLogix opening and can be activated like the account view from the main menu bar. As I've never venture into this side of things can any provide some example code of how it can be done. All help appreciated.

I seriously don't want to dive into it that deep creating a new family etc. I just want the new mainview that works from the ACCOUNT table but doesn't replaced the main account detail view instead creates a new view that users can invoke on start up.

Unfortunately, if I'm understanding you correctly, it's the same process, you just base it on the account table.

You do have ONE advantage in that you can take the account details mainview and do a 'Save As' a different mainview name, but you'll still need to create or alter the navbar button action etc.
