Restricting a Lookup based on another lookup
Posted: 11 Mar 08 1:50 PM
I'm guessing this is a pretty easy task but I'm having difficulty with it.
I have an Account lookup that I can populate fine. I then have an Opportunity lookup that I want restricted/filtered based on the account lookup.

Yep, that's pretty easy. In your Opportunity lookup you'll want to set the following properties at design time:
LookupRestrictField = "ACCOUNTID" (No way to select the field, so you'll just have to type it in.)
LookupRestrictOp = "=" (Again, type this in)
LookupRestrictAlways = True
LookupRestrictValue = Set this to the Accountlookup's .LookupID property. You'd want to do this programmatically during the OnPopupReturn event of the Account Lookup.

That worked pretty close to what I needed. I actually put the RestrictValue on the Opportunity OnPopup instead. The Account name is required so it'll always be there when the user goes to click on Opportunity.
Thanks for the help!
