Filter options (Sales Dashboard)
Posted: 17 Jun 08 1:22 PM
Hi there,
has anyone customized the filter options in the sales dashboard, I have created a custom field at the opportunity level and would like to add it to the filter options?
Thanks!

Hi Todd,
Yes this is possible - but note you will need to add the filter for each graph on the dashboard.
The filters are controlled in the Text plugin type within architect. Take a look at the
section - the first parameter should get you going in the right direction. You just need to alter the xml elements accordingly.
In your case you only need to add copy an exisiting parameter and then change:
1. ParamName is the name displayed in the Filters
2. AliasName is the alias for your field
3. FieldName is the SQL field name
If you were querying another table i.e not Opportunity, you also need to alter Table and Joins info for the parameter and add a join in the
part if the table is not joined already.
Hope this helps,
Steve
