Hiya,

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've looked round but can't find anything.

I've just bought the DevLogix book and, following the example in the book, created my first mainview. Everything seems fine, I'm just struggling to find out how to add data. I'm using SLX 7.0.1 and when viewing the new form I just get a "no data" message.

How do I access the 'add widget' form ?

You need to create a separate form for adding data. There are a few examples on how to do this amongst the forms in the list of plugins. An alternative is to just write SQL INSERT statements, if you're just testing.

Hiya Jeff,

Thanks for your report. I'm trying to copy the standard menu 'Insert New Ticket' method where u right click on the toobar icon and choose the option from the pop up menu. I've looked at the standard menus menu strip and the insert new ticket calls a function called insert:Ticket.

Where can I find this so I can copy the way it's done ? I was looking for it most of yesterday afternoon, without success

What Jeff Said.

1. Run a Script to insert a bare bones record.

2. Then Launch the Detail Form.......edit away.

This is all in Devlogix II or III.
