VB Script Load up the ClipboardYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

1. Without an activeX control field in SLX
2. Preferably without a special DLL
3. May not have IE 6

Am getting inconsistent results with this (M is a massive String of text data):
DIM oSHELL, objHTM
set oShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Set objHTM = CreateObject("htmlfile")

objHTM.ParentWindow.ClipboardData.SetData "text", M
'paste it into Excel.
objExcel.Range("A2").SELECT
objExcel.ActiveSheet.Paste
set oShell = Nothing
Set objHTM = Nothing

Any other ideas???

So where does this go wrong? And what are the symptoms? How big is M?

M is huge.....I just gave up and am assuming they have IE 6 (required per SLX Sales non web client anyways!)....and of course EXCEL.

''''put the string into the windows clipboard.
DIM oSHELL, objHTM , MText

MText = "Lots of Data here, as much as you need.....could go on forever (put CHR(9) and CHR(13) in between fields and data rows!!!) "

set oShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

Set objHTM = CreateObject("htmlfile")

objHTM.ParentWindow.ClipboardData.SetData "text", MText

That loads up the clipboard....
