Regarding Ryan's article on how to use URL links within SLX.
Could someone please give me some help on how to create the toolbar captioned 'Get Record Hyperlink'?
I have everything else in place, I just cannot figure out how to make a toolbar with scripting behind it.
Thanks. Sam |

rescue inhaler names over the counter asthma inhalers reviews read here Hi Sam.
To add a toolbar button that fires a script in SLX do the following:
1) Create a new VBScript plugin and add your code to it (or the sample code from the article you mentioned). Save and release it. 2) Create a new toolbar plugin via "File", "New Plugin", "Navbar / Toolbar" 3) Click "Add Child" on the toolbar plugin and enter a name of "Standard Toolbar". 4) Select the "Standard Toolbar" node and click "Add Child" again. Enter a name for the caption/hint, such as "Send Record Link" 5) Add a Glyph if desired. 6) For "Action" select "ActiveScript". 7) For "Argument" select your VBScript plugin. 8) Save and hit F10 to release. 9) Go to "Tools", "Client Options" in Architect. Click the "Toolbars" button. Click "Add" to add your toollbar plugin. 10)Refresh client and you'll see your toolbar plugin.
I'll have the download for that article updated shortly with a sample bundle for the toolbar. |
