I have an opportuntiy tab that when i come into the opportuntiy, it is showing the data from the prevoius opportuntiy. I call the AXFormChange method of this new tab when the opportunity details AXFormChange is called. Inf the AXFormChange of the tab i have stepped into it and see that the correct data is getting pulled from the db, but when it shows the old data is showing. If i refresh or if i go to a differnt tab and then back the correct data is showing. If the tab is in the middle view it shows the correct data. I'm not sure what else i can do to get it working.

I figured it out. I just had to make the call:
Application.MainViews.ActiveView.TabsView.Script.AXFormChange(Null)

In the Opprotunity Detail.

You should not need to do all this. You could try putting a hidden Opportunity.OpportunityID text box on the tab which should ensure that the OnChange event fires ...
