I'm a bit out of my league when it comes to web and web services but want to know if it's possible. Can I create a folder in a Sharepoint document library using the sharepoint web services from within the LAN Client (SLX 7.2)

Essentially I have a new entity and when a record is created I want a corresponding folder within a document library to be created in SharePoint.

Thx
Leon

Leon, did you ever come up with a solution for this? We need exactly the same thing (just in SLX 7.01)

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Yeah we did. We created a custom web service to create the folder structure we were after. I have a few things to tidy up around SharePoint security (adding to GAC) but it works well. This post might help you out - http://www.slxdeveloper.com/forum.aspx?forumid=4001&postid=13505

My tip is to change the SharePoint web.config file from "WSS_Minimal" to "Full" while testing. Will save you some pain.
