Lookup help
Posted: 31 Oct 08 8:13 AM
I've inherited a SLX installation even though I'm not a developer, but I'm the only one available with even a hint of VB experience.
Anyway, the problem I'm facing is I've been asked to make a field searchable on a form, so I've changed the label to a button called cmdDeviceID, and set an OnClick event to call a function called FunctionLookupClick (Sender)
The function looks like this
Sub FunctionLookupClick(Sender)
dim strLookup
On Error Resume Next
strLookup = ""
select case Sender.Name
case "cmdSerialNumber"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.DSD Serial Number"
case "cmdSubscriptionName"
strLookup = "Opportunity:Description"
case "cmdDMXNumber"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.DMX Number"
case "cmdAccount"
strLookup = "Opportunity:Account.Account"
case "cmdMultiAcct"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.MultiChoice Acct Num"
case "cmdSource"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.Source"
case "cmdSalesRep"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.Sales Rep"
case "cmdSmartcard2"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.Smart Card Version 2"
case "cmdDeviceID"
strLookup = "Opportunity:DMX Opportunity Ext.Device ID"
end select
if strLookup <> "" then
Application.BasicFunctions.DoInvoke "Lookup", strLookup
ErrorCheck "Error accessing SalesLogix VBScript functions:"
end if
End Sub
Now this function works with all the other lookups on the form but when I add the lookup for Device ID, it doesn't do anything.
I really don't know what I'm missing.
Please help

Hi Robin,
Have you created a new Lookup on the Device ID field? Architect - Manage menu, Lookups.
