How to cancel user's change on a form?Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

In a pop up window, when user clicks cancel button or click the X, the data will not be saved back to database. However if this is a form opens in "More Tabs" area (not a pop up with OK/Cancel button), it looks like as soon as user switches to another tab, the changes will be saved, without any confirmation. Additionally, there is no undo option for drop down fields.

I need to provide a way for users to cancel any accidental changes - a cancel button, or a way to close/switch the current tab without saving it to DB. Any idea? I don't want to open everything in popup windows either. Having a form displayed in lower part of the window helps my users to cross reference the data.

Thanks!
