Hi,

I need to prevent user to input values (in to picklist) which are not there in picklist.

Is it possible?

Thank you for your help.

regards

In the picklist manager - click the picklist and notice on right hand side you have the props for the picklist - ensure you select "users cannot edit values"

Hi all

You might also like to set the option that only allows the user to select a value that is in the list, and therefore not be able to enter their own data into the field itself (i.e. the field the pick list is being used on).

That way:
1. They can only select from the list, avoiding a proliferation of ad-hoc values
2. They can't extend the list themselves as a way of putting any old value into the field.

PS: Hi Mike! Tell me, did the All Blacks just thrash England 32-6 in the Rugby Union football, or was that just a beautiful dream?

Cheers
