User have recently discovered that when they move a contact from one account to another, they end up losing attachments from the parent account. Turns out that is caused by SLX recording the primarycontactID in the record. If the contact moved is the primary, so goes the files. I am at a loss to explain why we would record a contactid for an attachment to an Account. but even more frustrated as that tidbit appears to be in the function. Any ideas how to quit recording the contactid in these cases?

Yuk, that is hideous - I just verified it on 7.2.2.

It would be nice if there was a global event that you could use (AfterInsertAttachment, or similar), but no

So I guess you have to hack the existing code. And if I were you, I would be thinking: "Maybe there is a good reason they did that. Hope I don't break anything ..."
