Hi, everyone.
I need to perform mail merge to about 500 contacts using word template.
During Mail Merge procedure slx sends ~ 60 mails and then creates MM Issues group with other 440 Contacts.
After server mmissues logs overview i see that there was an error:
Message: The RPC server is unavailable
Class: EOleSysError
ErrorCode: -2147023174

The last message before that is:
Message: The e-mail message could not be sent to "Evgeniy Dosaev (C6UJ9A000E16)". The server threw an exception
Procedure: SendDocumentsViaEmail

The next ones are like:
Message: The e-mail message could not be sent to "Yuriy Belov (C6UJ9A000BQ9)". The HTML document "C:\Documents and Settings\lshutov\Application Data\SalesLogix\MailMerge\Temp\ADMIN (17-02-2009 02.55.23 )\{20DE628D-3236-4862-928D-697DD93E42DE}.htm" could not be parsed.
Procedure: SendDocumentsViaEmail

Can you advice me some solvation?

I have had similar errors and have struggled with it also. Several things have come to light. 1st and most simple: Are you running through Outlook? If so, make sure that Outlook has been started BEFORE SalesLogix. 2nd: If you are using Outlook, what version are you running? There is an issue of the cache file filling up and not releasing on 2003 when merging with SalesLogix. 3rd: We had issues with our mail server having a cap on the number of transactions a user could have in a specific period of time. All those conspired against us when trying to merge. Hopefully one of these will lead you in a direction to help.

1. Yes, we running mail merge through Outlook and we starting Outlook before SLX.
2. Outlook 2003 SP3. If you think that this can help, I could install and test it on Outlook 2007.
3. I almost sure that this is not problem with this restrictions on Exchange server. Because on different computers and different user - i can send different numbers of messages. From 5 to 80.

My saleslogix version is 7.2.1

I would try Outlook 2007. We recently upgraded to SLX 7.5 with Outlook 2007 but I will say we have not done a merge .. yet. I am planning on a test today actually. Our problems were on SLX 6.2.3. Honestly, it can't hurt and would be the least difficult to do.
