Hi,
I want to be able to allow our executive assistants to edit their executive's notes. Often they enter notes for them and need to update them later. I just want to confirm that the Application.BasicFunctions.EditHistory does not give you any options around this (notes section is always grayed out) and a custom edit notes form would be needed.

Thx
Leon

Hi Leon,

I have tried commenting the following line of code to enable the notes field
' SetControlColor(memComments)

This code is under DisableControls procedure in History Detail View.

Hope this helps.

Arti

Thanks Arti - I didn't realise you could access that view as the previous version I was working on it wasn't available.

Cheers,
Leon

This is very strange...
Application.BasicFunctions.EditHistory allows user to edit a comment, but Application.BasicFunctions.ViewHistory doesn't.

From where you call Application.BasicFunctions.EditHistory ?

If you wanna allow executive assistants edit notes only, then you may use "View / Edit Notes" button. There customization are needed in Active Script "System:Notes History Common" in "EditViewNotesClick" sub.
