Hi guys, further to my thread on firing phone calls and to-dos from buttons on forms, i have read the SLX developer PDF and can't find a way of calling the add note facility.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Also off on a tangent but don't really want to start a seperate thread for it, what is the correct syntax for using "Application.BasicFunctions.SystemInfoFor"

i have tried

msgbox Application.BasicFunctions.SystemInfoFor "BuildNumber"

but it dies.

Thanks guys

Not sure if this is the optimal approach, but this has worked for me to add a Note:

Application.BasicFunctions.CreateCompletedActivity "Note", "", m_strOPPORTUNITYID, m_strREGARDING, m_strNOTETEXT, Application.BasicFunctions.CurrentUserID

Thanks Rick, the Note adding works perfectly

Can anyone help with the "SystemInfoFor" functions ?

Thanks,
Keri.

What exactly do you mean by "it dies"? What is your error message? The parens are missing from the line in your post, is there some other error you get (besides that one)?

This should work:

MsgBox Application.BasicFunctions.SystemInfoFor("BuildNumber")

Also, if the version number is what you're after, you could also use this:

MsgBox Application.Version
