Can any body help to find the Attachments Drectory in Saleslogix.

when i insert a file for Account, Error pops up and says

' Unable to Save file to Specified atchment directory [\\Saleslogix\Attachments\].
contact your system admin.'

What is the default path for attachments directory?

I tried searching 'Attachments' Folder on the System, couldnt find it. help needed to fix the issue.

I will reply here since you do have a question/request listed:

There is no Default Attachment path in SalesLogix. You have to configure it via the Administrator tool (although I do recall certain versions of SalesLogix saving attachments locally to a Documents folder if there was no path configured).

Never the less, based on your error message, there is indeed a Path configured on your Database, and it is "\\SalesLogix\Attachments". At the very least that implies that you have a File Server called "SalesLogix" with a Share called "Attachments". If that is not a valid Server and/or Share, then your system is misconfigured. If that is the case, I would suggest that you review the Implementation guide for specific guidelines on how to setup the shares (permissions required) and how to configure your database to utilize it.

Hi Mr. Raul,

Thank you for the information.

I found the attachment path on Systems tab of Administrator tool.

When i try to edit the profile, message pops up saying "A database error occured : field 'LICNUM' not found.

I do not know the table name , the field 'LICNUM' should be added.

how to fix the issue ? so that i can change the path and test it.

Well, are you saying that your system works fine but you get this error?
LICNUM is a field that belongs to the BRANCHOPTIONS table and I believe holds the ID for the Company, which is used to validate the Licenses.

If this is an upgraded Database, I would suggest that you review your steps to make sure that you didn't miss anything during the upgrade process. Otherwise, load a blank database to compare and restore this field.

yes , i reinstalled my service pack again. the issue got fixed now.
