Calling SLX functions from a web browser enbedded in SLX

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi Guys
As part of my opportunity form i have a webpage embedded which i use to display custom fields from the DB. On the webpage are various buttons that launch an external VB app which posts data into my SLX DB and to my live production webservers.
Is it possible to call the "Application.BasicFunctions.RefreshMainView" function or something simular from the webpage embedded on my opportunity form.
Part of my code that generates the HTML being -
keriHTML = keriHTML + "<script language=""VBScript"">" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + "Sub Quote(Clientname,Negotiator, AgentID, BranchID, Address,Price,TenureType, QuoteType, SLXID )" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + " Dim x" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + " Set x = CreateObject(""my.app"")" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + " Call x.Generate_Quote(Clientname, Negotiator, AgentID, BranchID, Address, Price, TenureType, QuoteType, SLXID)" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + " Set x = Nothing" + chr(13) keriHTML = keriHTML + "End Sub" + chr(13)
That SUB is called from a form on the webpage, basically what i would like to do is put in the eqivalent of "Application.BasicFunctions.RefreshMainView" in at the end of my SUB so that after it is fired the opportunity screen is refreshed.
Do i have to go the route of creating a SLX object in the webpage or is there an easy way ?
Many Thanks,
Keri. |

fiogf49gjkf0d If you are embedding a browser control within the SalesLogix client you should check out the Opportunity Detail form. You will find code that references "window.external" showing you how to access SLX objects from the browser.
