From System:SLX_Common (SLX v7.5.1)

Sub SelectFirstRecordForGrid(aGrid)
Dim blnSortable
If aGrid.Recordset.RecordCount > 0 Then
blnSortable = aGrid.Sortable
aGrid.Sortable = False
aGrid.Recordset.MoveFirst
aGrid.Selection.Add aGrid.Recordset.Fields(aGrid.KeyField).Value
aGrid.Sortable = blnSortable
End If
End Sub

When adding a new contact, if the Contact:Attachments form is active, an error is generated (Object Required: aGrid.Recordset). I've tried putting an If block around the .RecordCount > 0 statement using IsObject(aGrid.Recordset), IsNull(aGrid.Recordset), and IsNull(aGrid.Recordset.RecordCount). Same error. Am I overlooking something obvious here? Thanks.

Chris,

It sounds like known defect # 1-68233. The workaround is to wrap it with a Is Nothing. Hope this helps.

If Not (aGrid.Recordset Is Nothing) Then
If aGrid.Recordset.RecordCount > 0 Then
blnSortable = aGrid.Sortable
aGrid.Sortable = False
aGrid.Recordset.MoveFirst
aGrid.Selection.Add aGrid.Recordset.Fields(aGrid.KeyField).Value
aGrid.Sortable = blnSortable
End If
