Ive noticed that with large accounts we have very long lists of attachments. Is it possible to customise this view so you can incorporate folders instead of having a long list of the individual attachments.

This is a somewhat recurring request that I have received over the years from customers.
I have Implemented several solutions that allow for some "folder" functionality.

I basically allowed each user to build a Tree Structure, and then each attachment could be assigned to a node on that tree (if not assigned defaults to the root).

Now, it has been at least 4 years since the last one I built. On that ocassion, the files were actually being stored within a Zip file that had a folder structure, and the grid was built by querying the Zip file (through a Custom Interface that the customer had bought at the time).

So, to answer your question directly, the attachment functionality can be customized, but you have to be very careful around it, specially if you have Remote Clients.

Thanks Raul, at the moment im only researching if its possible. I shall leave it to the higher powers to see if they feel it is worth it.
