Error "Could not find the data for the ... plugin"

Hello,
I've got a bit of an odd error. We have a set of customisations in SLX that are released out to a specific group of people, defined as Teams in the Administrator.
The odd thing that's started happening when we create new users is that they don't have access to the plugin, even if they're in the team. The team-setting seems to be sticking, because they do get the menu-items which are also team-released.
The error I'm getting is
Could not find the data for the Eventix:EVXE_CourseMain plugin. 0x1 @0: Form Eventix:EVXE_CourseMain
It does it on another form too. I've even released the mentioned form to Everyone, and the user in question, but this makes no difference.
Any suggestions as to where I should start to look? |

Mark, over the years I have noticed an odd problem with releasing plugins to users.
Simply adding someone to a team often will not give them access to custom plugins. I have found that often I need to remove all releases to a plugin and then add the releases that I need (either teams or individuals).
second, many times I have been forced to shut down a user computer and restart to get the data dictionaries to load on the client machine. If the latest data dictionaries do not load on the users machine, you will get a message similar to what you described.
There have been a few instances where I have had to login to a users machine with a profile other then theirs and then log in as them to get the data dictionaries to load properly.
Hope this helps.
Jeff

There are indeed several known issues on different versions of SalesLogix that could be causing this type of issues. It the users are network clients, then it is possible that the Security is not being set up properly (check the SECRIGHTS table).
Now, with remote users, some versions will not send an Release to a Team to Users, so you end up having to cut them new remote databases.
So, if you are dealing with the first case above, you may be able to correct the security data and keep on. If you are dealing with remote users, you may have to cut new remote databases (not the best approach as you end up losing data, time, etc), or have add the affected users directly to the "Release" list. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Have you run the SLX Profiler? This may help you identify exactly what plugin is not found, and why.
Have you checked the plugin table directly?
I mean, unrelease the plugin, then make sure that there aren't other Copies around, then Release the valid plugin back the affected User.
Also, have you tried clearing the SLX Cache on the Affected user's machine?
