I wanted to get some thoughts on an existing customization to see if anyone has experience or can offer up some helpful suggestions that may help us to resolve some user problems.

We are using a customization which is composed a .NET DLL (I believe) that pulls both the outlook calendar as well as the "global address list" that appears when you write an e-mail and press "to". Our issue is that for alot of users the process of pulling the information is slow and appears to look like a lockup in SalesLogix when SalesLogix is crunching information and will eventually return the data.

Question: Has anyone worked on a similar customization where the process was not as intrusive with trying to pull back alot of results?

My objective is if possible, create a container which contains all the names printed in outlook address list (lastname, firstname) in our case and exclude any distribution lists. The container would allow people to add and save/store information to an existing memo field. Its a memo field since some people will want to free hand text values. Yes, I realize it can also be a grid.
