Reference Value On Parent Form
Posted: 29 Sep 09 7:44 AM
Saleslogix 6.2.6
On the opportunity form, there is a tab for contact. On this contact tab, there is an add contact popup that is called from a context menu, the account name of the account that owns the opportunity is carried over in order to display a list of contacts for the account with that name. My question is, how do I reference a value in a text box on the opportunity form in this add contact popup? For example, if I had txtBusID on the opportunity form, what do I need before txtBusID.text to get that value?

Application.Forms("System:Opportunity Detail").txtBusID.text
I am going to try this and see how it goes. If anyone has anything to add, please do.

You can grab the details view as an object.
Once you've done that you can use that to grab control's value.
I'll try to find an example for you.

I couldn't find an example.... so I am going to attempt to free from it. Hopefully its free of syntax errors.
Dim objMV , myValue
Set objMV = Application.MainViews.ActiveView.DetailsView
myValue = objMV.myCONTROL.text
