If you highlight/select 2 account records in the group view and right click there is a 'Merge Records' option at the bottom of the list.

Is there any way to get to the code behind this?

thanks

Hi Andrew, we are not aware that you can get behind the code, it one of those closed areas of SLx. However, depending on why you are tyring to get behind the code you might want to take a look at our Paribus for Saleslogix product. http://www.qgate.co.uk/productdetail/paribussaleslogix/ The core product looks for matching data in a much more sophisticated way than the standard function in SLx. Having found and verified the matches (duplicates) you then use the Saleslogix plug-in within Paribus to merge in a very controlled and complete way. We wrote the merge function from scratch to take into account lots of the issues the standard merge function doesn't cover. On the page above there is a comparison document between our merge function and the standard SLx merge function. We can also add in custom merge rules. So if you are looking for a comprehensive merge capability with a much better data duplicate find capability in the first place take a look at Paribus. As an aside Paribus in can match data in any SQL data source(s)so has benefits outside SLx.

Regards,
Rowland.
