I have looked almost everywhere and haven't found a script or a way to edit the History Item List used when looking up a contact or account. Does anyone know if this is possible and where I can find the script that will allow me to edit the lists contents?

Thanks, -RJ

You cannot - it's hardcoded. However, if you use MV's and set the lookup correctly - it will automatically add those entities to the item history.

We needed to have additional columns of data so I just created my own history list. For some reason SLX left off the opportunity column. Plus I was able to add some functionality (like editing history... shsss.. don't tell anyone). If you roll your own you can make it act anyway you like.
