fiogf49gjkf0d It helps me remeber things if I know what they stand for.
So, What does the AX in AXFormOpen stand for.
And, why when I create a dataform or a manage form does it say TAXForm at the top of the properties window.
And since I'm on the subject, how can I retroactively check to see wether a form is Data or Manage?
And, is it possible to change betweeen types? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi Brian,
"AX" stands for ActiveX". You'll see it listed as TAXForm in many places since that is what the object's name is internally. The "T" part is a Delphi thing for "Type". However, the forms are refered to generally as "Active Forms", not necessarily "ActiveX Forms". 
No easy way to change the form from a manage form to a data form. A manage form does not have binding context. |

fiogf49gjkf0d So the easiest way to know it's a manage form is to check that its 'Base Table' property is empty? |
