Hello

Can we export a file to any other location than the default installation directory.

I have created a data export routine that works great and exports to the E:\SLXLogs\SLXLiveLogs\Documents\ Folder.

Can I change this location?

I know I can add folders, but can I change the full location to point somewhere else?

And if I could would it affect other aspects of SalesLogix?

SalesLogix was set up long before I joined the company, Is the above setting just the default location or was it specified on installation?

Could I use a seperate location path just for my data export routine?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

There is no 'default' location unless you don't specify a shared folder in the SLX Administrator program..... this step is one of the first in any configuration process (see the implementation guide!!!)

You can create a new folder somewhere, share it with users (they'll need read \ write \ delete permissions on the folder), and then change this location in the sLX Administrator: Systems: Offices....

If sync is involved, have your business partner do this for you??

If this is custom coded ( maybe in SLX Attachment Support), then be prepared to change the script....
