SLX8 Memo Field - Number Pad Issue
Posted: 04 Mar 13 1:41 PM

Hi all. I'm planning to open a ticket with Sage, but wanted to post here for visibility. In a number of SLX 8 memo fields, when my users use the number pad on their keyboard they have a problem with the "1" key.
It appears that if you type text in the memo field, and then hit "1" on the number pad (with num lock turned on), all text is erased, the cursor goes "home" and the "1" is displayed. I confirmed this behavior on the ticket description field, ticket resolution field, the account "description of business" field, and a number of other places.
Please let me know if anyone has ideas as to why.

I thought this particular issue was fixed in the SLXControls Update for Version 8, which I is available to BPs. That said, I could be mistaken.
Best bet is to call SAGE and confirm. |

No, unfortunately not - it fixes the issue whereby FormatType and FormatString were not working. This is v8.0.0.8492 for slxcontrols.ocx (which is all this release does right now). We're ttrying to get that bug (1 in NumPad) fixed in same release. The 3D effect is not in this either (another rumour). |

Thank you for the clarification.
I guess I have been lucky that my v8 clients are running Web, but maybe soon will run into someone with this issue. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi Mike,
Is there any update on a fix for this? I've got it happening with the latest build from Sage with all the latest updates applied. |

fiogf49gjkf0d I'm running client version 8.0479 which is the latest I could find on the partner site. I've also applied the updates 00 through 05 with the exception of 02 which isn't on the partner site.
Where would I get the updated controls from? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Update 05 was de-released. You should replace that with Update 09. That's got the updated control within it. You'll need to get this from your partner/Swiftpage. |
