Debugging released codeYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I have been making some changes to a form, which I moved to our production DB (which of course I thought were ready to be deployed Smile) but now they're not and I want to step through some released code in the debugger, to see how the original code worked. But I can't exactly add a 'stop' to that code. (Or can I?) So what is the best way, if any, to break at a particular function in Visual Studio? I changed my SLX Client options to "Debug: Always" and tried to manually create a new breakpoint at the desired function, but either I am getting the syntax wrong for specifying the function to break at, or that's not possible. What is the best way forward here?

I assume you're talking LAN/VBScript stuff. Right? If so, you can add a staop statement in the code and it will invoke the debugger when it hits that spot. Just add the word "Stop" (without quotes and on it's own line) where you want the code to jump into the debugger.

Sorry I was not very clear - yes, this is the LAN version. What I want to do is debug the released code, but I as admin have newer code (not yet released) that I am seeing. I don't know how to view the (older) released code - if that's even possible.
