Hi

We are experiencing problems in Saleslogix 8.1 with the daylight savings time after the GMT update over this weekend.

We have date fields now being stamped with a date an hour behind the actual time.

Is there a fix or anything we can apply or a setting that can be changed?

Is anybody else having a similar issue or can give any advice how to fix the problem?

Thanks

Dave

Unless things have changed, SLX saves all datetimes in GMT (UTC), and the Clients make the necessary correction to local time. At least that's how it used to do it.

Someone more knowledgeable will be along soon to correct me if I'm wrong...

Thanks for the reply Stuart.

I thought that too however the clients that i'm testing have the correct datetime it is just saving one hour behind.

I have tried updating the datetimetype field in TableDEFS to Z and have restarted the ssaleslogix services but it is still is recording the date an hour behind what it should be. Would anyone know if I need to restart SQL services for this to work or would it not make any difference anyway?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Sorry, I just remembered, its not the Clients correcting the time, its the SLXOLEDB provider (which they all use)
